PSV BOOTCAMP October 2021 @UCLA

designing an electronic press kit/ MENTAL HEALTH

The program took my learning to a whole new level. I got a unique opportunity to work with [SoCal] mentors and expert colleagues. Thanks, David, for your boundless passion and commitment – while opening new avenues to us

We left our usual comfort zones and saw the importance of collaborative songwriting. I’m lost for words – thank you so much for all the support and care!

That was an extremely inspiring! I came away with new creative powers and the courage to forge ahead. I really got the sense of joining a global community

An excellent mental workout!

Often our understanding [of the industry] is acquired chaotically and at risk to ourselves. But here we encountered valuable viewpoints from representatives of the largest global market.

This is priceless help for us all

Thanks for the initiative, David – for all the work, organization, guest speakers, and for taking such care of us as you curated everything from start to finish

Thanks for the wonderful atmosphere and inspiration, too

A fantastic opportunity to go beyond the limits of anything local. Over and above invaluable knowledge, we also got a chance to network with new colleagues. We agreed on future collaborations and swapped experiences.

What an excellent experience. Everybody was really cool

This is priceless help for us all!

You’re doing something really cool. The more complex my workplace challenges become, the more I see the importance of constant study. New knowledge - or simply new viewpoints - can be really inspiring. They put you back on track and prove that whatever seems completely impossible is, in fact, possible.

Ian Fintak

With over 20 years of industry experience, Ian Fintak first began his career in the business as a musician playing both bass guitar and drums in several local rock bands. Following college (Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA), he relocated to Los Angeles, CA, where he worked on the side with many popular local artists, managers, and record labels successfully booking local shows and small national tours independently.

Soon after, he was hired by ICM (working his way up from the mailroom to assistant and finally to junior agent) while building his client roster and industry experience working closely with international agent Keith Naisbitt, who continues to be an important mentor today.

Fintak was then hired by Neil Warnock, CEO at The Agency Group Ltd., as an agent in early 2006, where he worked closely on the international side (via North America) with an eclectic and notable roster (including artists such as THE NEW YORK DOLLS, BUTTHOLE SURFERS, DEVO, THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS, THE WAILERS, JOE JACKSON, SOLOMON BURKE, KANSAS, MS. LAURYN HILL, and BOOTSY COLLINS to mention a few).

Following 8 years at The Agency Group, Ian left to join ex-ICM Chairman Jeff Berg's new agency startup, Resolution Entertainment, in October of 2013, and brought with him his full international and domestic roster of clientele helping to spearhead their new music department. After the unfortunate corporate breakup of Resolution in October 2015, Fintak accepted a position with Paradise Artists, where worked internationally, based out of Los Angeles and Ojai, until 2017, when he was approached again by ICM and offered another contract.

Following this second run at ICM, Ian again re-joined mentor Keith Naisbitt at APA in June of 2018, representing his own roster in addition to assisting Naisbitt in servicing the company roster overseas. In June of 2019, Fintak accepted a new position with ex-Agency Group colleagues JJ Cassiere and Dan Rozenblum (along with Matt Pike) as agent and Head of International at boutique agency 33 & West, where he continues to build his business today.Ian currently represents (either internationally and/or worldwide) such artists as DEVO, BUTTHOLE SURFERS, THE ORIGINAL WAILERS, CREED BRATTON (of THE OFFICE), DEAD KENNEDYS, TOM TOM CLUB, RICKIE LEE JONES, PARTICLE KID/MICAH NELSON, THE MATTSON 2, THE LOCUST, MIKAELA DAVIS, SUNNY WAR, and more, and also handles several film/TV clients in addition to working with the company roster worldwide.
